Curators
Garbrook Knowledge Resources, Inc. is seeking PhD-level scientists and individuals with advanced training or degrees in business, law, economics, engineering (including process engineering) or agriculture to join our curation teams. After training, curators will work remotely via the internet and begin intense curation in one or more aspects of the international renewable energy field, from business information to scientific studies and technological assessment, to government policy and economics. The work will require the ability to efficiently and accurately abstract, analyze, and integrate key pieces of information from a variety of sources. Experience in technical writing, scientific curation, economic modeling, or public policy is a plus. The ideal candidate must be a team player, detail oriented, and computer proficient, with excellent communication and presentation skills and a global interest in renewable energy. Proficiency in a second language is a plus. Part-time and full-time positions are available.
Java Programmer
Garbrook Knowledge Resources, Inc. is seeking a full-time Java programmer to build tools to aid in our curation efforts and support the technology platform. Experience working in a UNIX environment is required; experience working with web applications is a plus. Work-place experience is preferred, but entry-level candidates with demonstrable Java skills will be considered. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently in a dynamic environment. The candidate may choose to work remotely but must be able to attend weekly meetings on site in Beverly, MA.
Administrative Assistant
Garbrook Knowledge Resources, Inc. currently has an opening for an Administrative Assistant Position. The Assistant will perform data entry, maintain mailing lists, and handle logical transfer and organization of information. Additional tasks will involve assisting the marketing team with occasional arrangement of meetings and appointments, handling general inquiries, facilitation and coordination of details regarding special requests and presentations, communication of information, and receptionist duties. The position requires a keen attention to detail, the ability to communicate effectively, excellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and self-motivation. The ideal candidate must be computer proficient in MS-Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), internet navigation, typing, and email.
